Blog SEO Tips For Same Day Rankings!

Optimal Blog SEO

We all want to establish great blog seofor our site with the end result of getting ranked on the number one position on Google or some other search engine. I can remember when I first started, I had no understanding of blog seo at all! I smile when I think of how naive Iblog seo used to be back then! I probably got scammed by every scammer coming and going, telling me I was going to be rich if I would only buy their product! What I didn’t know was that in order to make great money with the products that I was buying I was going to have to get ranked on the first page of Google!

People fail to submit this kind of important information in scenarios like these…which is why I stayed broke the first six months of my blogging career! Needless to say, I did learn. Now, I’m not going to sit here and tell you that I know everything there is to know about blog seo. I’m sure I don’t, and I don’t profess to know, but I do know one thing.

In order to get traffic through the search engines, you have to be located on the first page of said search engine!

Why is it so important to be on the first page? Here’s a quote from Gravitate Online.Com

A sample was taken of searches and the result was that in a study of 8 million clicks, 94% of users clicked on a first page result and less than 6% actually clicking to the second page and selecting a result displayed there. One of the biggest drop off’s is between the 10 spot (bottom of the first page) and the 11 spot (top of the second page) from 2.71% down to 1.11%. That’s a 143% dip from one position to the next.

This is why it’s so important.  You basically have to be found on the first page of Google to get clicked and have an opportunity to make some money.

Conventional Blog SEO Tactics

blog seoIf you are new to blog seo, then you have probably heard a lot of talk about “backlinks”. I don’t have time to explain what these are, but you can check out some posts called Why I Won’t Come Back To Your Blog. This will at least show you what not to do when you are planning your search engine optimization.

Getting more to the point, some people use general SEO tactics to get their sites ranked on Google. You will find different opportunities like LinkVana Article Marketing to build great backlinks for your site. However, the down side of some of these tactics is that it just takes too long to get results from these companies. Although, I’m not downgrading LinkVana’s company one bit, I have ranked many sites with their services, but it is something that takes a little bit longer, but it’s there for the duration!

So, if standard link building strategies take a little longer to get noticed and ranked by the popular search engines, then what’s a person to do?

Have you ever typed in a search term for something you wanted information for and when the search is complete, you see posts that people have made anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 week ago? For certain, this is the type of blog seo that a person needs to know. With conventional link building, a process like this usually takes months to achieve!

So how do they do it?

Blog SEO For Posts

In one of my previous posts about blog seo tips, I kind of touched on this subject a little bit.

Ok, here goes. Optimization for your site is a no-brainer. Most people using WordPress take advantage of the Yoastplugin that is free to use. However, when you go to optimize your posts, don’t just throw it to the wind, placing keywords here and there. There is a process in your SEO to allow you to get your posts on the first page every time!

The first thing you need to do is go to the Google Keyword Tool(**See Note At Bottom Of Post) to do some keyword research for the post you are about to write. What you want is a keyword that has Lowcompetition value, but high traffic flow.

Once you have your keyword handy, put it in your blog title. I have found that putting the keyword of choice as the first set of words in your title helps more somehow, but don’t ask me how!

Ok, anyway, for WordPress users there is a permalink URL under the post title. Make sure your keyword is in this as well. This helps the search engine see you better.

Next, write your post. Now I am one that doesn’t promote keyword stuffing or over optimization. This just causes the reader to be confused and make them want to leave. The Yoast plugin will show you which keyword density is seo

After you have written your post, under this is where the Yoast plugin comes in handy. Again, write your blog title with your keyword first. Next, place your desired keyword choice, and under that write you description which should contain your keyword at least twice.

This is the best results that I have ever found to get a post noticed on the first page of Google quickly. Usually after I do this, it takes about 30 minutes before the post shows up for that certain keyword!

After you write the post, no link building needs to be done, however, after I press the update button, I submit the post to social media and bookmarking sites. This is usually located on the very same page where the reader will see your post. If you don’t have sharing icons, you need to get them!

For a higher targeted competition keyword, don’t expect to see results right away. Sadly, this only works for low comp keywords(and even then you may have to build some links). Just play around with it and you will find that this is the easiest way to get ranked quickly by using blog seo tips.

  1. Hey Wade,

I’m always doing my keyword research and finding the best one, but finding low competition keywords with nice searches sometimes is difficult to find.

    • Sadly, it is hard to do! However, if you stay more generic with it like blog ideas, or something to do with blogging I have found it is easier to rank for.

    Hi Wade,
I am a new blogger. A writer with no knowledge of SEO or how the search engines work.
Over the last 3 months, I have learnt a lot from blogs like these and I hope to improve with every passing day till I get to the top in my chosen niche`, which I am sure I will in due course of time because I am providing quality content.
I would be thankful if you could please answer a few of my questions:
Is using Google Adwords enough to check the level of competition?
I started using WordPress with All in One SEO plugin. Isnt that good too? I have got used to it, and found Yoast a little ‘difficult’ to handle when I did try using it on a couple of occasions. Should I carry on with the plugin I am using or do I need to make a change?

    • As far as plugins, I have found Yoast to be very capable of getting your posts optimized. If the All In One Plugin works for you, then do what works. I would recommend that you use SEM Rush for the actual keyword ranking score. Google Adsense is good because it gives you an overall picture of what people are searching.

I would recommend Yoast, and if you can afford it, the SEO Presser plugin, I can give you a coupon that let’s you try it for 7 days. It’s only $49 and worth every penny too. If you can’t afford this one, Yoast is the best in my opinion.

    • I have used both All in one SEO and Yoast. Yoast is better than All in One SEO. So my recommendation is Yoast. As well as I have heard many times that SEO presser is also a good SEO plugin.
