Surviving On Referrals For Blog Traffic

Getting Blog Traffic The Old Fashioned Way

The blog trafficsong remains the same. Or does it? Link building has been one of the most important strategies of a blog owner since the start of this whole mess.

The old fashioned way, as you probably already know, of getting blog traffic is to get as many links to your site orblog trafficblog posts as you can. Getting noticed on the first page of Google is a powerful thing to be considered!

Link building is still important in a Panda’s world as you can see in BluGlass SEO Website. You shouldn’t forget about building links to your site as this is going to be the way to get your site ranked higher and higher on Google or any search engine.

However, this takes time to do. Depending on the keyword that you want to rank for, it could take you up to 6 months of heavy link building every day to get to where you want to be!

Now this poses a problem for me. As this is my primary blog, I don’t really worry about this subject for this website, but my business is buying domain names, fixing a great blog, and building links to that blog. The problem is that I don’t have enough time to wait six months to get blog traffic to that new website!

But What If You Didn’t Have To Wait That Long To Get Blog Traffic?

Referral Blog Traffic

In a recent post I did about How I Commented On 100 Blogs In One Day, I covered this topic briefly. That post led to this one. This was a test to see if a blog could survive on referral blog traffic alone.

The answer is yes, it can.

I realize that this post is a little shorter than most of my posts, but I wanted to talk about this real quickly. I took one day out of my schedule and did nothing but comment on high-traffic blog sites. You can view the one’s I posted on in the previous link.

Now I realize that when you are scrambling to make money online, blog traffic is what you are trying to achieve. Sometimes you get distracted with doing other things in trying to get that blog traffic and you forget the essentials.

If you have a new blog, or have a blog that is suffering in the traffic arena, then I recommend that you drop what you’re doing, and take about 4-6 hours and just post on other people’s sites! I guarantee that you will be pleased with the outcome!

blog trafficWhat does posting on high traffic sites get you? You guessed it, more blog traffic! If you can implement one to two hours per day just commenting, then you can get the traffic you need to survive in the internet jungle!

One tip though. The more blogs that you comment on that are in your niche, the higher the probability it will be that you will get that traffic.

One other thing I did was this: the other day, I managed to write down and list every internet marketing blog online that gets a heavy traffic flow and is guaranteed to create traffic for your site. These are high quality sites too, and you may want to read the Best Blog Sites for Internet Marketers and get the ebook. This way you won’t be wasting your time searching for blogs!

Hi Wade, it’s 8:20 here and I love checking your blog before stepping out ;)
BTW, you know I started a blog last week ( and commenting on other blogs has been a real an unfailing source of traffic to it. I have also seen quite interesting SEO traffic.

2 – 3 hours a day commenting on other blogs is a good plan and I can confirm you will see interesting changes in traffic. However, one must stay away from silly comments like “nice post”, “good article”, etc. You must add real value in your comment to attract attention from both the blog owner and the comment readers.
