At first glance, you may think that having a successful marketing campaign only applies if you have a ton of fans. Since we all can see that these big time bloggers and entrepreneurs are becoming so successful on Facebook, and yet they have 10K-20K fans on their fan pages, and we tend to think that this is when success comes…but you can be just as successful with a small group of fans as these people are with their large groups!

What do people like on Facebook? Have you ever thought about that? People love images! If you are not including images in your Facebook strategy then you are missing out on a lot of leads AND traffic.

Images and Interaction
No matter what niche you’re in, people always react to the right image. Just recently I have been testing out different images that prompt interaction alone. No clicking on a link, just simply interacting on the blog. I found that when you present something interesting or useful…and even something fun to do, people will interact with you on that image! This was less than 20 minutes into the update as well.  So as you can see, getting interaction from people is as simple as finding out what they like.  Most people will actually perform some sort of action on your updates if it’s funny or entertaining.

Well I understand that this post is about getting interaction from Facebook, but I’m always one that is interested in getting the traffic as well.  Don’t get me wrong, I love interacting with my fans on Facebook!  There’s usually a ton of people that have written me messages and such, but getting the traffic is my main goal, and eventually converting them into faithful readers.  This usually leads to sales later down the road.

    I do agree with what you said here – images attract a lot of attention. My experience has proven this to be very correct

    • Right Enstine, and not only from your current following as well. When someone likes an image on your page, it also gets pushed to all of their friends news feeds. This leads to a snowballing effect, and is the main reason why content with images can go viral on Facebook.

      I try to include an image with almost every Facebook update I post simply because of this reason. It’s extremely effective for reaching a wider audience through Facebook.

  4. A very cool post on FB Wade, I feel like you said interaction with people on Facebook can surely raise traffic in coming times and infact, it helps also to build brand and loyal readers which consequently follows with likes and comments too.
    I still remember one of my post was flooded with FB likes all because of one unique image on it.
