How To End Social Media Traffic Blues for Facebook

Facebook marketing is probably the most effect way to get social media traffic for your blog.  A lot of people misunderstand that you simply don’t just post your updates andsocial media traffic expect people to come to your site.  I want to show you how I had to learn this the hard way and really do some effective research on my fans in order to give them what they wanted.

I can understand that you want traffic to your site.  You may have a new blog that you’re trying to make an income off of and let me tell you, it’s hard the first couple of months to get traffic to your site if you’re starting from scratch.

This is how you can remedy that.

Getting Ready for Social Media Traffic

I’ve said this a thousand times on this blog. You must have set up on your Facebook page to earn the trust of a new follower and fan coming to your page. You only get one try at this and you know the old saying, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression”. This is true for Facebook as well.

Having your fan page set up to right away is what you need to learn from the start!

This is the face of your page. What message are you trying to send to the new reader? This is the most important part of the page because it’s the first thing they see when they come to your site. Make sure you present yourself and your page with the right concept of what you’re trying to capture.

Applications & Tabs

I love this next one because this is how you can capture leads, drive traffic, or make sales. If you have a lot of fans on Facebook, but you’re not converting them every day, or at least a portion of them every day, then you need to re-think the way your application tabs are distributed on your page.

I recently found ways to that can revolutionize the way you not only design the fan page, but also in how you make money from your fans too.

I’m not that technically minded, and if you’re not either, then you’ll be happy to know that in just a few simple steps you can add 20+ application tabs, create fan gates for leads, build a more targeted group of fans, create promotional updates, and drive people to your fan page where, in turn, you can convert them right there!

One of the biggest misconceptions in social media marketing is that you have to have the traffic on your site before you can make any money. This is false. While getting social media traffic is awesome, it can totally be done all on your fan page. I recommend using .

Driving Social Media Traffic

Once you’re prepared for the traffic from Facebook and on your blog as well, you can then start to relay information from this site to drive social media traffic to your blog.  One thing that I really like about using tools is the fact that you can use them to help you gain ground on getting things done.  You’re not worried about posting to Facebook or getting noticed.  The average person checks their Facebook app on their phone over 14 times a day!  And if you’re posting only once or twice per day on Facebook, guess what?  You’re not getting noticed by these people.

Using Facebook Tools

This is where I want to introduce a tool that I use to help me post to Facebook at scheduled times. Now I know that we’re only discussing Facebook social media traffic right now, but this platform also allows you to schedule and post or all of the major social networks too.

You can automate with over 15 marketing tools, and it’s free to try too, which is something I wouldn’t even promote if it wasn’t.

Is there a secret to getting social media traffic? No, but the key is to stay on people’s radar as much as possible, and you can do that with a little automation help.

For those of you who are wondering what SimplyCast marketing is like, then I guess you could sort of call it “Buffer” for Facebook. Of course you already know it’s not just for Facebook, but you get the point.

Consistency To Get Social Media Traffic

It takes pure consistency to attain social media traffic. Also, with the help of a few tools on certain social networks, you can be driving traffic every day as long as you stay with it!

Now don’t be like a lot of people that I see doing this, who simply set this up and never get back on social media again! You’ve got to establish relationships. These tools will allow you the time to get out there are start discussing things with people, making friends, and letting people know your expertise in a certain area!

Don’t be lazy! This by itself doesn’t work!  But when you use it alongside your regular Facebook marketing, you will see the results in your social media traffic overnight!

  1. Hi Wade,

I have been striving to establish a hold over social media. I guess I have also been lazy and just created a Facebook page and left it as it is. These FB tools are worth a try and I will be persistent in doing these activities from now on. It always seemed as a Herculean task to me but after reading your article, I got motivated to work in this direction. Great post.
