Dismantling the Social Media Giants: Twitter Revealed

I am really excited to explain and hopefully un-ravel the questions that are associated with social media. If you have a blog or are looking to monetize that site, then social media sites are going to be very important to you!

This is the second post in a series I am doing called “Dismantling Social Media Giants”. If you missed Operation Facebook, you may want to back up and continue reading after you finish this one.

The Social Media Secret: Twitter

I’m really excited to be talking about Twitter! This platform is where most of my traffic comes from, therefore social media twittermaking it the primary source of my money as well.

There is one “flaw in the slaw” with this social media giant, as well with most of them…you can’t seem to keep your URL at the top of the updates! If you have noticed, once you post an update, or a tweet, you will see that it doesn’t stay there for too long! Sadly there are other people that want their URL at the top too, so it’s a continual fight to keep your website at the top, thereby giving you more opportunities to attract more visitors.

It was because of this reason that I basically stopped using Twitter. Yes, I had an account right away, but when I realized that it was going to take up most of my time just keeping my URL at the top, I thought it was a waste of time.

That’s why I’m going to tell you about the best tool first!

It IS impossible to keep your URL at the top of social media sites like Twitter! But that doesn’t mean that you have to be like me and stop using it!

There is a magical tool given to us from the social media fairies that allows you to post recurring updates on Twitter!

It’s called TweetAdder Twitter Management, and this program will literally make you rich, like it did me! I have actually talked to the people over at TweetAdder, and for everyone of you that wants to try this program, you can. Totally free!

twitter social mediaThe very first week I started using this program, my website traffic grew 100%! You will not be displeased at all with this!  It is very easy to use too.  What this does is it allows you to schedule tweets on auto-pilot.  Make a list of your best one’s, or you can do like I do and just add it to my tweet list after I get through blogging about something.  It will tweet on your set schedule.  I hardly ever get on Twitter anymore.  Tweet Adder does it for me!  Everything that you need, it self-automates for you:

  • Auto Tweets-As explained above
  • @Replies-When someone mentions you on Twitter, it will see that and send them a message, or simply another tweet.  You can edit this message to say whatever you want to say.  I have this promoting my email list!
  • Direct Messages-Send direct messages to people that follow you automatically too.

All in all, TweetAdder is one of the best self automation programs out there and for a one time fee it’s yours!  Or you can choose whether or not you like it by getting your free trial.

Social Media Twitter Tricks

Once you get started on your free TweetAdder trial there are some tricks that you need to know & learn in order to actually get that website traffic!

Trick #1: Followers

Getting a large following is important for traffic. In twitter secrets revealed, I show you the importance of building that following.

You want everyone to follow you on Twitter!. In order to do this you must have your social media buttons where people can see them! Post it on all of the social media sites that you are active on, you would be surprised at how many people will follow you from these sites.

Have your “Follow Me” button where people can see it on your blog. When they “tweet” your post, have a “recommended follow” button for your account. If you will notice in the comment section, when someone tweets, they will be prompted to follow me. This is done through the CommentLuv plugin located at the right in the sidebar.

Getting followers can be a tedious thing, however, there are some steps that you can take to even further your following. Fiverr.com can even be used to advance your following on any kind of social media sites. Granted, you have to “weed” through the junk that’s on there to find the good stuff, but they are there. What you are looking for are “real users” to be added. If you don’t specify this in the search, a lot of junk will come up. Now, I’m not saying that you will not find a Fiverr gig that claims to have ALL real followers. There will still be some bots on there. You just have to use Fiverr at your own risk when looking for a following.

Tip #2- Using hash tags & keywords

An alternative to throwing yourself at the mercy of Fiverr to get noticed on Twitter is the use of keywords & hash tags.

If you will notice on Twitter there is a search bar. Go ahead, type whatever you want in there! You will see that all the tweets with this search term in them have shown up (from the latest, to the most recent). This is another powerful way that you can reach your audience.

A person does not have to be following you in order to see what you have to say. However, you must have certain keywords integrated in your tweets for this to happen. One trick I always try to abide by is when I write my blog post, make this around the tweet that you want noticed. That way, when people come to share your post, and hit the “Twitter” button, you will have already fixed your keywords in it…all they have to do is press “tweet”. Take this post for example; I want to address the people looking for Social Media and perhaps they are looking for some “Twitter” help. It’s already in the title, therefore ready for someone to tweet!

A hash tag is similar. But you can brand yourself and your blog through a hash tag. It can be yours by yourself, or you can share it with others. My brand is #EvilBlog, and I also share #BlogTips with other bloggers. You can type in any of these and see my tweets!

Tip #3- You’ve reached them, now get their attention!

One of the many mistakes I see people with large followings make is their inability to create interest. Now that you have the tools that social media twitteryou need to get your post in front of that potential visitor, you now have to create enough interest that these people will want to come to your site. Having catchy post titles that will turn around to make catchy tweets is what you need to shoot for. In the above mentioned program called TweetAdder, you can actually edit your tweets to be sent out on a schedule of 10-15 minutes. However, when someone comes to share your post, make the title great!

This goes without saying. Make every post interesting and informative, because after you have got the visitor to your site, the next thing is to get them to click something.

Tip#4- Monetizing your visitor

Once you figure out these easy tricks to get someone to com to your site, you then begin to learn that these steps are just the beginning! As I said before, you want to monetize this visitor when they come. Helping them achieve something will do this. First and foremost, always write interesting and helpful posts. The reader will see your concern for their blog and will end up taking your advice by clicking a product you promoted or something of that nature.

Reader monetization comes in many different forms. This visitor from Twitter may not buy something from you the first go-around, but perhaps they see the quality in your site so they sign up to your email list, or become a faithful reader. Both of these instances will eventually lead to monetization.

In Conclusion

Twitter is a powerful tool for traffic! Sadly, it will not happen for you unless you use the TweetAdder tool above. Now, if you wanted to spend all of your time on Twitter to keep your URL in front of potential visitors, but in order to be successful, TweetAdder is a great buy for your money.

Remember that people are searching the Internet for your site, they just don’t know it yet! Start with a successful blog post, use TweetAdder, & you will start benefitting from traffic at one of the largest, and most used, social media sites out there: Twitter!

    Hey Wade,
TweetAdder is a solid Twitter app that’s recommended. It can also lead to destruction and account suspension if poorly used. I recommend it strictly on its instructions.

  2. Galen Morgigno says:

I use TweetAdder myself. At first I didn’t put much into it, but later I found the power in using this tool. I love the retweet tool. I just set up whom I want to retweet and it’s off and running. Great if you are masterminding with a group of like minded individuals and sharing each others content.

    Great review Wade!!

I am interested in buying Tweet Adder, but like Enstine said, I don’t want my Twitter account banned. And unlike Twitter, you can keep your Facebook post at the top if it receives a lot of comments, but it won’t stay there forever.
