Web Apps To Supercharge Your Online Social Life – Part 2

Some people may find Facebook as boring or not interesting enough. With the help of some web apps, you can make it much more interesting and enjoyable. It is normal to feel that way about something after being addicted to it for such a long time. This post will not be much about traffic and audience. This part is about making your whole Facebook experience more enjoyable and comfortable. social web appsTherefore, part-2 will be all about Facebook.

In this post, I would like to talk about three web apps, that could help to make your Facebook experience more enjoyable.

SUNRISE.IM

Sunrise.im is a lot like news.me but it’s a little different. News.me sends you the most important tweets that you likely to find useful but sunrise.im will send you an e-mail with that day’s schedule directly to your inbox.

Not just Facebook, Sunrise also combines LinkedIn and Google Calendar. As a blogger, this can help if you set out to achieve something everyday with your blogging career. Blogging requires hard work and determination and it is based on what you do each day to achieve more exposure. If you want to be reminded about your daily goals first thing in the morning, then this is one of the best web apps to use.

AHERK

Aherk is a goal oriented self blackmailing service. Aherk is a simple app to use and it’s still in beta testing. It’s extremely simple to use. You set a goal and a deadline. Then, you take an embarrassing photo of yourself, and upload it. If you fail to achieve your goal, then the photo will be posted to facebook.

Whether, you have achieved your goal or not, will be decided on a poll by your Facebook friends. Like sunrise, this app can help you achieve your goal in a more concentrated manner. You would always have in mind that your embarrassing photo would get uploaded to Facebook, if you didn’t achieve your goal.

OCTOFEED

Octofeed is still in beta testing. It is a different way to look at your Facebook feed. It retrieves the feed from your Facebook wall, and displays it on your browser in a different format.

This app will not post anything on Facebook, it will only retrieve data and your data will not be stored on their servers. This app is not about getting traffic or connecting with others. It is only about seeing Facebook with a different eye.

So, that’s about it for part-2. Stay tuned for two more posts in this series.

Do share your views with us about the apps I have mentioned. We love to get feedbacks.

With the many apps and programs we have at our disposal not to mention the magic of mobility with smart phones social media is literally at the very tips of our fingers.

  5. These tools are really helpful with reposting. It sure cuts your time in half.

  6. Score! More apps to aide in updating our social media sites. This sure beats having to reapeat things over and over again just to get the right amount of coverage.

  7. It’s amazing how things we used to do manually can now be automated with apps and other things. Technology nowadays is really something.
